My Favorite Vanilla Buttercream Frosting Recipe

Hey Guys! Ive been debating on whether or not I would like to share recipes, and I have decided I will share a few. I will start by sharing my vanilla buttercream frosting recipe! I love this frosting. It is perfect for frosting cakes and cupcakes! It holds flavor and color well. I always add vanilla to mine but your can add different flavors! Plus people tend to enjoy this frosting because it is very common in the cake business. It is a frosting everyone is familiar with!

This buttercream frosting is the perfect thickness yet it is still smooth and fluffy. It may take a few times to master! Make sure you have more than enough powdered sugar on hand! If, however, you run out, add a few tablespoons on flour to your frosting, this should not effect the taste of your frosting!

This is my absolute favorite frosting! It is a nice thick and fluffy frosting that has lots of flavor!

Instructions
  1. Soften your butter and whip it on high speed till it becomes glossy and almost white in color.
  2. Have your milk come to room temperature or warm it so it doesn't Harden your butter.
  3. Combine the butter, milk, and vanilla. Whip together for two minutes or completely combined and smooth.
  4. Add you powdered sugar one cup at a time.
  5. You may need to add more milk at this point.
  6. Add you flavoring and color.
Recipe Notes

Your frosting should be thick enough so you can turn your bowl upside down for a few seconds without anything falling out!
